Licence Categories
At Bassett’s Transport Training, we deliver professional driving training courses for the following licence categories:
Category B+E: Small vehicle + Trailer
A vehicle not exceeding 3.5 tonnes combined with a trailer over 750KG (Caravan, Horsebox and more)
Category C1 : Small Rigid Goods Vehicle
A goods vehicle over 3.5 tonnes but not exceeding 7.5 tonnes, with the ability to tow a trailer not exceeding 750kg.
Category C (Class 2) : Large Rigid Goods Vehicle
A goods vehicle that exceeds 7.5 tonnes, with the ability to tow a trailer that does not exceed 750KG.
Category C+E (Class 1) : Articulated Vehicle or Rigid LGV and Trailer Combination
A combination of goods vehicle and trailer over 7.5 tonnes, up to 44 tonnes.
Category D1 : Minibus
Minibus not exceeding 8 metres in length, with no more than 16 passenger seats, with the ability to tow a trailer not exceeding 750kg.
Category D1+E : Bus/Coach + Trailer
A Category D1 vehicle with a trailer over 750kg. The fully laden trailer must not weigh more than the vehicle, and the combined weight of both must not exceed 12,000kg.
Category D: Bus/Coach
A bus or coach with more than 8 passenger seats, with a trailer not exceeding 750kg.
